formally the owner of The Beauty Boudoir, Mel has been a qualified beautician for just over 6 years.  Initially studying Fashion Buying at Uni and working within the fashion industry for 4 years, Mel decided she wanted a career change and trained in eyelash extensions.  In 2017, she moved to Cyprus with her husband who served in the RAF and soon realised this was the perfect opportunity to move into the beauty industry.   Lashes took off on the RAF base and on the majority of trips back to the UK, Mel attended many different accredited beauty training days and started to expand her treatment offering. Hi, my names Jenny- I’m the other half of Gloss Up with Mel my sister. Just a little bit about me- I’ve got 2 beautiful boys who are 9 and 5 years old- they like to keep me on my toes and a fur baby Poppy who is a cockapoo. When I’m not busy taking the boys to their different after school clubs, we like going for days out, on holiday and out for meals. I also love horses and horse riding and hope to one day have my own horse again. Mel and I have always loved everything beauty related and now have joined forces and created Gloss Up. My very first course was HD Brows which I qualified in back in 2014. I started nails as a hobby in 2015 and it became my passion particularly helping people grow their natural nails using BIAB. I also offer gel nails and acrylics. In 2019 I trained in lash lifts and have also recently completed training in lash extensions.
