Melissa Jolly

formally the owner of The Beauty Boudoir, I have been a qualified beautician for over 8 years. Initially studying Fashion Buying at Uni and working within the fashion industry for 4 years, I decided I wanted a career change and trained in eyelash extensions. In 2017, I moved to Cyprus with my husband Ant who served in the RAF and soon realised this was the perfect opportunity to move into the beauty industry. Lashes took off on the RAF base and on the majority of trips back to the UK, I attended many different accredited beauty training days and started to expand my treatment offering. I ran a successful home salon in Cambridge (our next posting) continuing to add further treatments to my list, including a full range of facial protocols and became fully booked a month in advance. Me & my husband returned to Mottram in March 2023 and the opportunity to rent 5 Railway Street came our way. A true believer things happen for a reason, I decided to ask Jen if she wanted to join too and not long after Gloss Up was born!! I am passionate about my work and enjoy redefining my skills to ensure I keep things up to date, to offer you the very best treatments, astounding results & a friendly & welcoming experience at Gloss Up hair & Beauty Clinic!

Jenny Coombes

Hi, my names Jenny- I’m the other half of Gloss Up with Mel my sister. Just a little bit about me- I’ve got 2 beautiful boys who are 9 and 5 years old- they like to keep me on my toes and a fur baby Poppy who is a cockapoo. When I’m not busy taking the boys to their different after school clubs, we like going for days out, on holiday and out for meals. I also love horses and horse riding and hope to one day have my own horse again. Mel and I have always loved everything beauty related and now have joined forces and created Gloss Up. My very first course was HD Brows which I qualified in back in 2014. I started nails as a hobby in 2015 and it became my passion particularly helping people grow their natural nails using BIAB. I also offer gel nails and acrylics. In 2019 I trained in lash lifts and have also recently completed training in lash extensions. I’m looking forward to meeting you all and getting to know you at your appointments, see you soon xx

Hi, my names Charlotte. I’m a hairstylist and I have been in the industry for 6 years. I am level 3 qualified and in 2023 I worked on celebrity cruises. I specialise in colour and I love styling, especially curly blowdry’s! On my days off I love exploring new places and walking my springer spaniel. I have a passion for travel, culture & people.
